Severe drought in Zimbabwe kills more than 200 elephants, other wild animals: officials
More than 2 hundred elephants have died amid a excessive drought in Zimbabwe, the u . S .'s parks enterprise said Tuesday, and a mass relocation of animals is deliberate to ease congestion.
Zimbabwe National Parks and Wildlife Management Authority spokesman Tinashe Farawo stated as a minimum two hundred elephants have died in Hwange National Park on my own for the reason that October and other parks are affected.
Animals including giraffe, buffalo, and impala are also dying, he said, and the situation can improve only after rains return.
